Safety — Information for parents, carers and teachers

AGMS aims to make examinations and programs positive, professional and safe for every child. Our Child Safety & Wellbeing Policy, Code of Conduct and Examiner Child Safety Protocol apply to relevant AGMS personnel and activities.

‍

What you can expect

  • appropriately screened and inducted personnel where required;
  • professional boundaries between examiners and candidates;
  • clear processes for in-person, live-online and recorded examinations;
  • access to a child-focused complaint and concern process;
  • reasonable consideration of disability, cultural and individual needs;
  • sensitive handling of concerns and child-safety information; and
  • review of our systems to improve child safety.

‍

Before an examination

Please tell AGMS through the appropriate entry or support process if a child requires a reasonable adjustment, communication support or other arrangement relevant to safe participation. You do not need to disclose more sensitive information than is reasonably necessary.

‍

Raising a concern

Parents, carers and teachers may raise concerns through the AGMS Child Safety Concern or Complaint form or by contacting safe@agms.edu.au. A concern may be raised even if you are uncertain whether a formal breach occurred.
